Overview
The TMC Dedicated Job Openings project was created to improve how current drivers are informed about open dedicated driving positions within their region. By enhancing TMC's existing mobile application, the goal was to create a more efficient, driver-friendly experience - making it easier for drivers to discover, receive alerts for, and quickly apply for job openings

The Problem
How might we better connect current TMC drivers with available dedicated driving jobs in their area - without disrupting their workflow? 
Drivers were missing out on internal job opportunities due to lack of timely, accessible  communication. The existing process didn't support real-time updates for simple application flows from mobile devices. 

The Solution
We enhanced the existing TMC mobile app to include: 
1. A searchable job feature tailored to location and role type
2. Push notifications to alert drivers when relevant jobs become available
3. An in-app application flow that allowed drivers to express interest or apply in seconds

These updates ensured that drivers were always in the loop - and could act quickly when the right opportunity arose. 

My Role
I collaborated closely with: 
- Recruiters to understand common pain points and job posting needs
- Drivers to gather feedback on usability and expectations
- Product Owners and IT stakeholders to align design with TMC's infrasture and brand standards

Responsibilities included: 
- Conducting user research and journey mapping
- Designing high-fidelity mockups within TMC's design system
- Presenting the design to stakeholders and refining based on feedback
- Working alongside developers in Agile sprints to ensure successful implementation

Tools Used: Figma, Slack, Jira

Key Insights
- Real-time updates are crucial: Drivers often check the app during breaks or between routes - making push notifications a valuable tool for engagement
- Simplicity drives action: A clear job title, location, and "Apply Now" button proved most effective
- Familiarity reduces friction: Maintaining a consistent TMC look and feel built trust and encouraged adoption. 

Design Priorities
- Mobile-first thinking for on-the-go access
- Minimal input fields to reduce driver frustration
- Clear search and filter options to surface relevant results fast
- Push notifications opt-in to avoid information overload

The Final Product
The TMC Dedicated Job Openings is an integrated feature in the company's mobile app that allows: 
- Searchable job listings filtered by location, route type, and availability
- Instant notifications when a new job is becomes available nearby
- One-tap applications with pre-filled driver information from their profile

Results & Next Steps
- Presented and approved by TMC's Product and IT Departments
- Rolled out for development in an Agile environment with ongoing testing
- Future plans include adding driver saved searches for recurring alerts and application tracking so drivers can view their status post-submission
